Handmade poster frames in large gallery sizes — A2, 40 × 50 cm, 50 × 70 cm and 70 × 100 cm — made to order in our UK workshop for art prints, music and film posters, and statement walls.

What size frame do I need for a poster? Most shop-bought posters and art prints come in standard large formats. We stock A2 (42 × 59.4 cm), 50 × 70 cm and 70 × 100 cm — the three most common poster sizes — plus 40 × 50 cm for smaller prints. Pick a frame below, choose your size and finish, then add a mount or upgrade the glazing when you personalise it. Got an A1 or an unusual size? Build it to measure.

Our large-format frames are cut, joined and finished by hand in Britain. Choose the look you love in any of our eight finishes, then select your size on the product page.

Not sure which size your poster is? Measure the printed sheet edge to edge and match it to the table above. A2 and 50 × 70 cm look similar but aren’t the same — check before you order. Our frame size guide walks through every standard size.

Need an A1 or an odd size?

We hold A2, 40 × 50, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm as standard. A1 and other oversized or non-standard poster sizes aren’t stocked — but we make them to measure. Use the frame builder to enter any dimensions, pick your finish and glazing, and we’ll handmake a frame to fit your exact print.

Light, shatter-resistant glazing for big frames

Large glass frames are heavy and can be risky to hang and post. Ours use acrylic glazing instead — it’s much lighter than glass and shatter-resistant, so it’s far safer for big poster frames and travels better too. You can upgrade the glazing when you personalise your frame.

Add a mount for a gallery look

A mount gives a poster room to breathe and lifts the artwork away from the glazing for a premium, gallery-style finish. Add one when you personalise your frame — or see picture frames with mounts for how it works.

Poster frame FAQs

What size frame do I need for an A1 or A2 poster?
An A2 poster (42 × 59.4 cm) fits our stocked A2 frame exactly. A1 (59.4 × 84.1 cm) is larger than the sizes we stock, so we make A1 frames to measure — just enter the dimensions in the frame builder.
Do you do A1 poster frames?
We don’t stock A1 as a standard size, but we handmake A1 frames to order. Head to the frame builder, enter 59.4 × 84.1 cm (or your exact print size), and choose your finish and glazing.
What glazing do large poster frames use?
We use acrylic glazing, which is lighter than glass and shatter-resistant. For large frames that’s a real advantage — it keeps the frame easier to hang, safer on the wall, and better protected in transit.
How do I hang a large poster frame?
Every frame ships with fixings, and our acrylic glazing keeps the overall weight down so larger sizes are easier to mount. For heavier 70 × 100 cm frames, fix into a stud or use suitable wall plugs, and use two fixings to keep the frame level.
